About a month ago, I asked Wolfgang if he was interested in taking a trip to Broome with me. Being another study abroad student, he said he wanted to go. I tried to convince Jaime and Alaina to come with us but it just wasn't possible for them financially, which is understandable. I decided that I wasn't going to let Jaime and Alaina not being able to go stop me from traveling in Australia. This is exactly what I planned on doing while here.
We left on Thursday morning for Broome. I know, I know.. What about school? Well, I only missed lectures, which I can make up online. I let my course coordinators know in advance.
The flight went smoothly. We landed in Broome around 10 am and the weather was perfect. Exactly what I imagined Australia weather to be like. When we landed it was 27 degrees! It was the first time I was too hot for jeans and a t-shirt.
These are the pictures I took from my seat... I knew it was going to be a good trip from the beginning. The color of the water up against the red terrain was absolutely breath taking...
Wow... it does look like a very beautiful place. I'm glad that you got to go, and I hope it's everything you were hoping for. Looking forward to seeing more...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I'm so jealous. :) Hope you are having a blast.
