Sunday was our busiest day in Broome.. We had a 3 hour kayaking tour planned in the morning and a pearl farm (which Broome is very well known for) tour scheduled in the avo. The kayaking tour group picked us up bright and early at 9 am and took us to Gantheaum Point. We started the tour at the beach and went around all of Gantheaum Point. I was really glad we got to do this tour because we were able to see Broome in a different perspective. It's one thing to look at the water from the rocks.. but to be ON the water looks completely different. We not only saw Broome in a different way but we also saw some wildlife including fish and sea turtles. It was a really great tour and definitely the best tour for the price (we could have gone on a 30 min speedboat ride for $30 more).
I do have one complaint though.. Wolfgang is the worst kayaking partner EVER! Every time I would say "paddle to the left", he would paddle to the right thinking I wanted to go to the left. Gr.. After a few "Wolfang!!"s he finally said "you know... it's much easier when you don't paddle." (haha) So I said "Fine", and pulled out my camera and enjoyed the scenery. Even though tensions were quite high on the water, we were able to laugh about it afterwards. We both had a lot of fun.
When we were still getting along...
This rock is suppose to look like either a cookaburra or a turtle... I guess I sort of see the sea turtle if I squint... but its a stretch.
And this rock on the upper left looks like a saber tooth tiger which I saw immediately.
This was my favourite rock!! Doesn't it look exactly like Australia?? I was so amazed.. especially since the tour guide said it wasn't man made. I thought it was so neat... I am horrible at geography and I even I picked up on its resemblance.
